Who we are

The Richmond Fellowship is a world-wide organisation that supports members of the community suffering mental illness.

In Tasmania, we’ve been providing rehabilitation and support services to encourage mental health and emotional wellbeing for more than 20 years. We’re a non-profit, non-government organisation, without religious affiliations.
One in five Australians will experience a mental illness at some stage in their lives, and at some point 50 per cent of the population will be affected as they care for friends or family.

Working with our consumers, we promote our view that people can and do recover from mental illness. However, recovery is not immediate, and demands a certain personal responsibility.
