What We Do
Richmond Fellowship Tasmania (RFT) operates five residential facilities across the south, north and north-west of the state, as well as an outreach service in the north-west and a recreational program in both the south and north.
In addition, it works closely with the industry peak body, Mental Health Council of Tasmania, to influence both policy development at the state government level, and strategic directions for mental health support. RFT also sponsors the Hearing Voices Network in Tasmania, which provides an environment towards recovery for people who hear distressing voices.
In 2010, RFT successfully hosted the AsPac 2010 International Mental Health Conference in Hobart, Tasmania. The Conference explored a wide range of issues to encourage effective policy directions that enhance and improve the wellbeing of people suffering mental illness. Papers from the conference can be found at ASPAC 2010 Publications.
